The Appalachian Army of Pennsylvania Inc. is a Christian-based 501(C)(3) organization interested in working with area churches and Christian organizations to support people in need locally and nationwide.
Zach Swope from Fulton County, PA, was on the front lines after the hurricane. He participated in search and rescue activities and met Carl Fultz, who lives in the affected area. Together, they formed the Appalachian Army, a Christian-based organization.
Zach felt a calling to start a Pennsylvania branch of the Appalachian Army after working with the numerous churches and volunteers from Fulton County, PA, who wanted to help the people of Swannanoa, NC, and the surrounding area. Working with Pastors Josh Shadle, Matt Swope, Sr. and a team of dedicated local volunteers, Appalachian Army of PA was formed.
